How to Prepare for the IOE Entrance Exam: A 90-Day Plan

BEATS FacultyJune 23, 2026

Most students don't fail the IOE entrance because they study too little — they fail because they study without a map. Here's a plan that fixes that.

Student planning a study schedule

Phase 1 — Build the base (Days 1–40)

  • Cover the full syllabus once: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English.
  • Don't aim for perfection. Aim for coverage and honest notes on what's weak.
  • End each day with 10 active-recall questions, not passive re-reading.

Phase 2 — Close the gaps (Days 41–70)

  • Now go narrow. Spend time only where your accuracy is below 60%.
  • Mix topics — interleaving beats blocked practice for retention.

Phase 3 — Exam simulation (Days 71–90)

  • One full-length mock every 3 days, under real timing.
  • Review every wrong answer. A mock you don't review is a mock wasted.

Rule of thumb: the last 20 days are for sharpening, not for learning new chapters.

Stay consistent, trust the process, and let the data tell you where to focus.
